First set-up: Research question

February 11th, 2009  |  Published in Research question  |  1 Comment

More often we see that the user comes with their own input of what they want to learn. The web 2.0 has made it easier on exchanging data and sharing interests. For the last years, web 2.0 applications have become a leading factor within e-learning. With the use of social network sites, communities and blogging or with podcasting, the new generation of pupils is used to share their own interests and work and coming up with their own needs. This makes it possible to learn any time, any place, any where.

E-learning still is being combined with meetings in physical space. We can say that physical gathering still add extra value to the user experience of people in an educational setting. It is not always that easy to bring the social and emotional aspect of learning in an online learning environment.

Research question:
How can we transfer the beneficial social and emotional aspects of co-learning in the offline world towards the online world of e-learning with persuasive design and/or emotional design?
